Welcome to Meaford
|
|
Situated on the
southern shores of Georgian Bay, sits the small
quaint town of Meaford. Approximately 4,400
permanent residents call Meaford home, although
seasonal residents and tourists increase the
population drastically all year long. Located 30
minutes West of Collingwood, the Municipality of
Meaford’s North West side borders Owen Sound with
its South East side bordering the Town of the Blue
Mountains.

Experience Meaford outdoors! The Bruce Trail roams
through the municipality; as does the trail of Trout
Hollow which goes from The Bakeshop Bridge (across
from Beautiful Joe Park) along both sides of the
river and through Trout Hollow to the Riverside
Community Centre on the 7th line. Also, located in
Meaford is the Georgian trail which follows the old
railway line for 34 kms into the city of
Collingwood.
